233-237: We All Bleed

Day 233:

Brook and I went for a "walk" and I took this of her while she wasn't paying attention.

Day 234:

Little Rock has a weekly magazine/newspaper that tells you about local events...such as what shows are happing that week.  Since I was going to see Crossfade the next day I thought this would be a cool picture.

Day 235:

Aranda opened the show.  I love seeing them live. The are so much fun to photograph.  They always put on a great performance.

Day 236:

Les Hall of Crossfade.  I think this is one of my favorite show shots I have taken.

Day 237:

A few days ago my Dad gave me his old tripod and then I ordered a remote from Amazon.  This was my first time to use both of them.

Tomorrow I'll write the post about the first time I saw Crossfade on June 10th.

365: Days 211-232

I said I was going to write yesterday...I didn't.  Brook and I went shopping all day and it was late by the time I got home, so I was too tired.   Pretty sure no one read the last post where I said I was going to write everyday; so I guess it doesn't really matter that I didn't.

So ready for Tuesday.  Can't wait to see Aranda and Crossfade.  It's gonna be awesome!

It's time to catch you up on my 365:

Day 211:

This is Jance and Natalia of Boom The Wheel...they're dating, I think they are super cute together.

Day 212:

This is Wesley of Belair, he's awesome!

Day 213:

This bracelet was sold at the Boom The Wheel/Belair show for $3.  If you buy one the money is given to Red Thread Movement to help put a stop to sex trafficking.  Click the link to learn more/buy a bracelet.  Jance's mom bought this one and gave it to me. She's so nice. As you can see in the photo of Jance and Natalia, they are both wearing them.  Every member of Boom The Wheel has one.

Day 214:

This is an onion....I don't really have anything else to say about it.

Day 215:

This my Bubba doll, I've had him since I was little, he used to talk, I don't remember what he could say...but he doesn't work anymore.

Day 216:

This is a self portrait...I used it as photo 4 of my "inspired by song lyrics" series.  The song is "Turning My Glance" by Steven Foxbury.

Day 217:

Mimi bought McKynley a Tinkerbell paint set, she loves it.  She always wants to paint and draw now.  My little artist.

Day 218:

Jelly Belly jelly beans.

Day 219:

My box of movie tickets...I always like to keep them.  I have a lot more than whats in the box.

Day 220:

McKynley and her lamb whose cheeks light up.  (She looks sad because she was tired of being my model.)

Day 221:

A cherry.  My parents are doing a body cleanse; they only eat fruits and vegetables for now.

Day 222:

I wasn't feeling well on this day, so this is the only picture I took.  It's not that great.  It's McKynley's new bed set.

Day 223:

My little Dootlebug (if you haven't notice this already, I kinda like her a little bit :) )  She loves having her picture taken by me.  Now she even likes to take pictures with my camera.  I help her of course...don't want her dropping my Canon Rebel.

Day 224:

Another self portrait.

Day 225:

Well, this is a watermelon.

Day 226:

I had absolutely no idea what to photograph on this day, so I drew a smiley face with green hair, who is sticking his tongue out.  Then I taped him to my wall.

Day 227:

This is one of my Toms sitting on my orange fuzzy pillow.

Day 228:

These are pears.

Day 229:

229 was a very crappy day...as you can see.

Day 230:

On this day my dear friends School Boy Humor released a new song entitled "7 Minutes In Heaven"

If you like it, which why wouldn't you?...It's amazing, please please please buy it on iTunes.  They really need support right now.  At the moment they don't have a label behind them, they are doing it all on their own.  So the more purchases they get the more word could spread about them and help them out.

The artwork for "7 Minutes In Heaven" on iTunes gave me the idea to kiss the mirror in day 230's photo.

Day 231:

Day 231 was World Photography Day.

Day 232:

Yesterday Brook and I went to Big Lots! and I spent a lot money on things I don't need, including a rainbow of Sharpie's.

I've taken todays photo, but I can't decide which one to use, so I'll pick one tomorrow and upload it then.  Sorry this was so long, I'll try not to ever get this far behind again.

I've Missed This...

So basically I'm the worst blogger in the world; seeing as I never keep my promises about when/what I'm going to post.  Things are starting to look up for me though...my anxiety/depression has basically gone away and I feel a lot better now.  I had been having insomnia which started right before I moved back home (I moved back in June) and has just now within the last week gone away.  I would legit go five days or more without a minute of sleep...sleeping pills helped at first, but soon became ineffective.  I literally forgot what it was like to sleep.

Anyways, I've missed blogging.  In the last few months my blog has somewhat gone downhill.  no one seems to visit Rockstars and Randomess anymore That probably has to do with the fact that I haven't been reading/commenting on other people's blogs and that I haven't been on much lately.  I'm ready to change that and do more than just pictures every once and a while.  I want my readers back.

Today is day 231 of my 365.  I haven't taken today's photo yet.  I am actually so ready for this project to be over.  It's a lot harder than I thought it was going to be when I started it on January 1st.  A picture a day for a year sounds easy, but then think of all the days that are boring and you don't go anywhere or do anything exciting; then you have to search the house for something to photograph that won't be totally lame.
Being in a wheelchair, I stay at home a lot.  Can't drive so it's not like I can go out and find something exciting on my own.

I have to practically beg my family to help me out with this...be my models, take me somewhere that I have been wanting to photograph, ect.   So basically the whole family is ready for this project of mine to be over.  I have thought many times during this process about giving up on 365...but I've already come so far and I have never finished anything that I have ever started in my life, so for once I want to complete something.

I recently got a tripod.  I also bought a shutter release remote off Amazon yesterday.  Hopefully this will help me get more exciting shots....and this way I can be my own model.  That is once I master using a tripod.  I'm not good at it yet, I never seem to have it in the right spot.

I'm going to try to start blogging once a day again so I can bring this blog back to life.  Tomorrow I'll catch you up on my 365.  If you simply can not wait until then, you can go to my Flickr or Photography Facebook and become a fan to catch yourself up now.

PS: Since post without pictures seem boring to me here is a picture of Ed Sloan lead singer of Crossfade that I took when I saw them on June 10th; post about that show coming soon.  Seeing them again this Tuesday.  Really excited.:

RJA

I think it's time to bring the rockstars back into Rockstars and Randomness.  It's been a long time since I've done an 'actual' post.  I started writing this not long after I went to the show, but then I got I guess what you could call Writer's Block.  On top of that I had to start getting ready to move, then I had some health issues and didn't feel like blogging.

On May 2nd, I went back to Juanita's to see The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.  This time I saw the show by myself, because Heather didn't want to go two nights in a row; plus she didn't have a babysitter for McKynley. She does like RJA though.

When I got there the doors were already opened, The Action Blast was sound checking.  I didn't know they were going to be there again.  I liked getting to see them two nights in row. To read the post from the night before click here (you can also listen to Action Blast's song "Find Resolution" if you click the link.)  The lead singer was nice and would occasionally pose for me so I could get a picture.  I wish they would have turned out better though:

After The Action Blast was Belair. They are a Christian band; they were really good. You can click their name and be taken to another post I wrote about them, where you can listen to their music.

Then it was time for Boom The Wheel.  When I first got to the show a girl named Natalia came and talked to me for a while.  She was really nice, pretty and had awesome style.  I didn't know this at the time but she is their lead singer.

As I've said many times, I'm not a fan of many female lead singers (with the exception of Hayley Williams of Paramore)  but now I can add Natalia to my exception list.  Love her voice. Actually Boom The Wheel reminds me a lot of Paramore. If you click the link in the above paragraph you will be taken to another post of mine about them where you can listen to my favorite song of theirs: "No Addiction Of Mine."  Natalia has very good stage presence and knows how to connect well with the audience.  They are from Arkansas, so hopefully I'll get the chance to see them often:

Jance:

Then it was time for The Red Jumpsuit Appartus.  I went to Riverfest in 2007 with my cousin Cara and "saw" them.  Although it was so crowded that we couldn't see anything.  A few times during their performance we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Ronnie Winter (lead singer.)

This photo is so bad I didn't even want to put my name on it.

Anyway back to this year-

I was very excited that they were coming back, they hadn't been to Arkansas in four years.  (they came once after Riverfest, but I didn't know so I missed it.)

When RJA took the stage I was sad to find that Ronnie's hair is not long anymore.  (Yes, the man is allowed to cut his hair...it's just when you think of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus you think about Ronnie's awesome long hair...or maybe that's just me.)  He cut it for a good cause though.  He gave it to Locks of Love.  The show was awesome, I took a lot of video:

"Cat and Mouse"

"Face Down"

"False Pretense"

"Damn Regret"

"Your Guardian Angel"

Ronnie:

Joey (I think that's what his name is, I'm not completely sure):

PS: I  found out today that Aranda and Crossfade are coming to Juanita's on August 23rd.  I'm really excited since I love both of those bands.  I still need to write the post for when I saw Aranda in May and Crossfade in June.  Hopefully that will happen before the 23rd.  I'll do a 365 update tomorrow.
