Day 45/365: Screw Chuck E. Cheese

For Valentine's Day we decided to take McKynley to Chuck E. Cheese.  Some of you may already know this, but like I said in my 51 Random Facts About Me  post I am afraid of people in costumes.  I always thought they only used the Chuck E. Cheese costume when they filmed commercials, so I told Heather I would go with them...I was wrong.  That terrifyng rat comes out every hour to play with the little kids.

In my 20 (almost 21) years of life I have realized that people in costumes are drawn to babies and people in wheelchairs. So that doubles the chances that they are going to come up to me. Sure enough as soon as Chuck E. came out of his dressing room he headed for McKynley and I.

McKynley was excited and I turned my head away from him, started to hyperventilate and cry (don't judge me.)  Heather told him to go away and he just stood there, confused and waving.  Finally he went to another room and for the rest of the meal I ate in fear that some rat in a purple  t-shirt was going to sneak up behind me.  McKynley kept screaming "Chuck E. Cheeses come back, I not scared!"

After we ate McKynley played games:

Here are some Valentine's Day related pictures:

Heather and McKynley gave me a bag full of candy this morning

The picture above was going to be the picture of the day just because it was somewhat Valentine's-y, but then I decided to go with the frog arcade game at Chuck E. Cheese cause I liked how it turned out.

However I still wanted to share this love/lovers and liars picture with you because my day was made when they put my pictures from Saturday's show on their official Facebook page today (well technically yesterday but you know what I mean.)

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

  1. Lauren, you are so talented, in both writting and photography. I am so proud of you. We, your family, already know why God saved you and allowed you to be born and live when the devil tried so hard to steal you from us but I truly believe sometime soon the rest of the world will know why also. I think God has great plans for you. You are such a special person and a true blessing.

ps: I'm sorry you were scared at Chuck E. Cheese. Stupid rat.

    I love you very much,
    Aunt Pam
