31/365: Cinderella Likes Cheetos

A few hours ago I asked McKynley if I could take her picture, since I had not taken my picture for the day yet. She said yes and ran to her room to put on her Cinderella Halloween costume.

PS: The rockstars will soon be coming back to Rockstars and Randomness.  I am so excited!  My first show of the year: Hawthorne Heights.  I have wanted to see them for years, but it never worked out.  Guess who is doing the show them...Lovers and Liars!!! You may remember Lovers and Liars from the last show I went to.

It makes me really happy that they are coming back again.  Plus I listed them as a band I wanted to see this year in my last post of 2010.  Hopefully I'll get to meet them this time. The show is Febuary 12th.  Sorry, that was a really long PS.

30/365: Maumelle Park

Today after morning church service Brook asked me to take pictures of her and her boyfriend Donnie, so we decided to go to the park for a photoshoot. This is part the bench of a picnic table.  Here is a slide show of the photoshoot:

29/365: My Camera Bag

I have any actual bag that was made for a dSLR camera, but ever since I started this 365 project I've been using an Abercrombie tote bag, so that I can easily get to my camera when I need it, don't want to waste time messing with zippers and stuff

28/365: Caramel Pancakes

I don't really have much to say about this, it's the pancakes I ate this morning. They are Cinnabon.  They were good.

27/365: Butterfly Flower

Brook gave me this perfume, because she had an extra bottle.  It smells so good. You can get it from Bath & Body Works.

26/365:Black and White Wednesday- Reflection

I didn't know what to photograph today, so I went into the kitchen and just snapped a bunch of photos of random things. I love how you can see the reflection of the towel on the oven door.

I have always collected keychains, this is one of them from when I went on a school field trip in either 7th or 8th grade, I can't remember which.  We went to Vicksburg Mississippi to visit all of it's historical places.  We also went to see Scooby-Doo 2.  It was the coolest field trip I had ever been on because all of the students got to stay the night in a hotel.

Any other field trips we ever went on lasted a few hours and then we would either go home or back to school.

You can't see the top of it in the photo, but it looks like a Coca-Cola bottle.

24/365: Twenty Four

I did something today that I haven't done in a really long time.  I read in the Bible.  I need to do that more often.

Yesterday in Pastor Rick's sermon he said "It's good to have a Bible in your house...but it doesn't really do you any good if you don't open it."  Those may not have been his exact words, but I know it was something along those lines.

I noticed something as I was uploading this picture, today is my 24th day of doing my 365 and the verse that has a box drawn around it is John 4:24.  I didn't take a picture of this page on purpose.  I was actually reading John 3:16 and just decided to take a picture of the next page, which John 4:24 just happened to be on. My grandpa marked that verse for me a few years ago when he was telling me some verses he thought I should read.

23/365: That Dam Bridge is Purple

Today I experienced a lot of firsts:

Went to two church services in one day; morning and evening.  The evening service is called's for the college age group of New Life Church.  It was really amazing. I can't wait to go back. It was the first time we (Brook and I) had ever really met any of the people that go to New Life.

I gave my first offering at church today.  I have actually given offerings to churches before, but this was my first time to do it with my own money, the other times my parents or grandparents had given me money to put in the offering.  When we first moved to Little Rock we went to Wal-Mart one day and as we were leaving a guy in an old limo stopped us in the parking lot and randomly gave me $3.  I decided to give God back that $3 today.

After church we went to Larry's Pizza in West Little Rock for the first time.  The one in my hometown is way better.  I tried to take a chair shot while we were there, but none of them turned out well.

Before we went back to church we came home to rest for a while.  During this time I took my 365 photo:

After Elevation we drove around Little Rock so I could take pictures.

This is the first picture I have ever taken of rain:

This is the first picture I have ever taken of the Big Dam Bridge: (It lights up at night.  It rotates between colors every few seconds)  I caught it while it was purple.

I was was inspired by David's photo of the Big Dam Bridge. His is MUCH better.  I was using a 50mm, so I couldn't zoom in...I want a telephoto lens.

When I was done taking photos we went to our favorite Chinese restaurant called New Asian.  It's a buffet.  As we were getting our food some people from Elevation recognised us and told us the whole group was there eating.  They invited us to sit with them.  We didn't; Brook didn't want to.   I wish we would have, so we could have gotten to know everyone better.  I think it is cool how we were surrounded by our church all day.

22/365: Nike

I love orange shoes. I have these Nike's and a pair of orange Nike Low Dunks...some orange New Balance.  I don't have orange Converse yet...I really want some.

21/365: I Love Lamp Chair

Today Brook and I went to Bravo. It's an Itailian resturant, so good!  I seem to have a love for chairs lately.

PS: "I love lamp." is from the movie Anchorman.  I have never actually seen that movie...I just always hear people say that.  I just added it to my Netflix DVD queue though.

20/365: Bubble Gum

Took forever to get this picture.  I had to use the heat lamp again, and of course I was wearing a sweater.  Why is it every time I need the heat lamp I'm in a sweater...thought I was going to have a heat stroke; not really but it was hot in there.

My eyes looked so good and then my mascara smeared on my eye and no matter what I did I couldn't get that big smudge to disappear. & a piece of powder fell under my nose; let's just say it doesn't look like powder...I promise you it is. Ugh, oh well, I still like this picture. Good thing is I don't have big gaps of my eyelashes missing and you can't see how bad my eyebrows are.

19/365- Black and White Wednesday: Smiley Hearts

Another food shot.  I was craving Stauffer's short bread Valentine's heart shaped cookies, but they didn't have any at the store.  So we settled for Pilsbury cookies instead.

18/365: The Hat

These are my hats.  Before I got the gray hat I never wore hats because I didn't like the way any of them ever looked on me.  When I saw Small Town Sleeper in 2008 (I still haven't written that post, I need to, it's the Candlebox one that I have been meaning to write basically since I started this blog almost a year ago.)
The lead singer Troy was wearing a hat just like this.

A few days after the show I asked him where he got it via Myspace.  He told me and that day I was planning on going to that same store anyways so I bought one.

Ever since then people have been buying me that same style of hat in different designs and colors but I never like any of them as much as my original.  It is pretty much the only hat you will ever see me wear.

17/365: A Bowl Full of Bows

Still not feeling all that great.  I wanted to do something different today, I'm tired of fruits and other food I decided to get a little creative and put all my (yes mine, not McKynley's) baby bows in a Tony the tiger cereal bowl.

Ever since the Ryan Star show I went to in October I have been wearing baby bows.  It was Halloween and I wanted to dress up, but since I don't do costumes I decided to just dress a little differently than I normally would. Pretty much me mixed with a scene girl...scene girls wear bright colors, childish clothes and either bright or dark eye makeup, with lots of eyeliner.

I've always loved to be creative with my eye makeup, and wear colors others probably woudn't. I also like to put my eyeliner on thick.  I have had to wear a lot of it recently to hide my Trichotillomania.

16/365: Mug

Sorry that for the last few days my pictures have been kind of lame, but since I haven't been feeling well lately I haven't really gotten out of the house.  I didn't even go to church this morning.  For the last few weeks Heather, Brook, McKynley and I have all been addicted to root beer.

Brook and Heather are also addicted to Angry Birds.  Everytime I play it, I just get mad and quit...but today I found a game I am addicted to.  Fruit Ninja:

The object of the game is to cut fruit that is flying in the air, but you have to watch out for bombs.  It sounds kinda boring, but is really addictive.

Wow apparently the root beer photo is not as bad as I thought it was, as soon as I added it to Flickr it got favorited and commented.  Nice!

15/365: Mr. Elephant

I almost forgot to take a picture today.  For the last two days I have had a headache, pretty much all I've wanted to do is sleep.  I got into bed to watch movies on Netflix, when I realized I hadn't captured day 15 yet; so I decided to take a picture of this elephant, since he was on my bed anyway. (No I do not sleep with stufffed animals...I am almost 21)

He just sits on the bed because I have no where else to put him.  McKynley loves to play with him, but she has be very careful when she does, because he is from Build-A-Bear Workshop and was very expensive.  I had wanted a stuffed animal from Build-A-Bear Workshop for years, but my mother said I was too old.

As a graduation presant a friend took me to Build-A-Bear Workshop so I could make my own animal.

This is not his first apperance on my blog, you may remember him from August Break day 2

PS: When I was four my family went to the Little Rock zoo and my aunt and I rode an elephant.  It was awesome.  I have a picture of it somewhere, if I ever find it I will show you.

14/365: It's an Apple

I don't really have much to say about this's an apple.  I always think I want an apple and then when I eat one, I realize that I don't like them very much.

End of week two.

PS: I know there haven't been any rockstars on here lately.  Sorry about that.  I haven't been to a show yet this year.  I think I am starting to go through withdrawls.

13/365: Famous Dave's

Tonight My parents, sister, McKynley and I went shopping and out to eat.  We ate at a really good barbecue place called Famous Dave's.  I had chicken and brisket since I am allergic to pig.

We went to JC Penney and McKynley made friends with a little boy while her mom was in the fitting room.

Also while we were at JC Penney we found one Ohio State Buckeyes shirt amongst a billion Arkansas Razorback shirts.  I wanted it so bad, but it was a men's and was way too huge.  We asked a lady that works there if there were any more and she said they weren't even supposed to have anything but Arkansas apparel, they didn't know how the Ohio one even got there.  Oh well, it made me happy to see it there mixed in with all the Razorbacks stuff...I'll get one one day. Dad still owes me a Buckeyes hoodie anyways since he lost the Sugar Bowl bet we had going.

They had tons of Hello Kitty stuff...ugh.  I hate Hello Kitty.

12/365 Black and White Wednesday: Pudding

This was McKynley before she knew there was chocolate pudding in my fridge

After she found out about the pudding and I told her she couldn't have any because it was bedtime.

I promised her we could eat pudding today, this was her afterwards:

Then we had orange juice...

They are all a little grainy, but I still like them.

11/365: Morning Fresh

Today I had an idea of what to photograph, but when I actually took the photo it didn't turn out the way I wanted so I ended up deleting it, and decided to go with something else.  This is day eleven's picture:

I know; you're probably thinking "Really?! A bottle of Germ-X...that's your picture of the day, you couldn't think of anything more exciting. How lame."

No. I couldn't think of anything else. Today has been a really lazy day, since I stayed up til almost 4:00 in the morning watching movies on NetFlix.  I didn't even get out of bed til about 3:00 this afternoon. Honestly I wasn't really feelin' the whole 365 thing today, so be happy with what you got.  I actually kind of like this picture.  It has nice depth of field.

Good news is tomorrow is Black and White Wednesday. I have actually already taken the photos for that, took them last night.  I believe they are much more cute and less lame than today's be excited.

10/365: Snow Heart

Yesterday it snowed a little over 5 inches...I think.  When we went out to play in it today I found this.

I also have a bunch of photos from yesterday that I want to share with you.

Kyn loves playing in the snow.

9/365: NLC

When Kris Allen was on American Idol I remember him talking about New Life Church numerous times. He made it sound so awesome.  I hadn't been to church in a long time and was really hoping to find a new place to go.

I don't like when a church isn't fun and you feel like you are forced to sit through a boring sermon  Or when the preachers are too overly excited and start basically screaming at you.

A lady that works with my mom is a member of NLC and she invited me to go with her one Sunday last year, because she said there was a chance Kris would be there that weekend.  No, I did not want to go to the church just because it is Kris' church, I had been wanting to go anyways. Kris was just an extra perk.

My sister, dad and I went that Sunday and as soon as we sat down, an usher came up to me and said that Kris wasn't able to make it.  I thought this was strange because, it's not like I had asked anyone if he were there or anything.  I guess that was God's way telling me before I got my hopes up. I thought it was pretty cool.

The church is unlike any other church I have ever been to before.  There aren't pews; just black metal chairs.  It doesn't really look like a church inside. it's really laid back and relavent.  There aren't crosses and pictures of Jesus and angels everywhere like in other churches

They have awesome music before every sermon.  It feels as if you are at a show.  You don't get bored with Pastor Rick's sermons.  You sort of feel like he is having a conversation with you instead of preaching to you, and he breaks it all down so it is easy to understand everything.  I love when he preaches he is so funny he makes you laugh throughout the entire sermon.

When my sister, cousin and I moved into our apartment in Little Rock, I was excited because this meant that we would be closer to New Life.

Today was my first time back in probably a little over 3 months.  We accidently showed up 30 minutes late and missed most of the service...but I am so glad we got to hear what we did.  I can't wait til next Sunday.

8/365: "Applebee's Has Rats!"

Tonight I went to Applebee's with Heather, Brook, McKynley & my aunt and uncle.  I had never been before.  I got a spinach ravioli, it was delicious.

By the way...Applebee's doesn't really have rats, or at least if they do...I didn't see any. I just used that line from the movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

7/365: "Don't Waste The Pretty"

Today I was supposed to FaceTime with a friend from Boston, but we ended up not being able to because her iPod is new and hasn't been synced to her computer yet and it has to be synced before it can be used.  She couldn't sync it though because her computer is messed up.  Tomorrow she is going to use a different computer and hopefully nothing will go wrong and we can try again.

I had already put make up on and everything. I thought it looked pretty so I didn't want to waste it.  The picture is a little blurrier than I had hoped for (I didn't want it to be blurry at all obviously) but even getting this photo was hard so I am pretty proud of it.

You see I have a heat lamp in my bathroom so I turned it on to create good lighting.  I''m in a sweater. I'm using a 50mm lens and I haven't mastered taking self portraits with it yet. so I'm sitting there trying to get the lens just the right length away from my face and keep it in focus. It's getting hot in there. I finally decided to use the toilet as a tripod.  Yes I know, that's kinda weird but it's all I had.  Anyways this is what I got with it, it could be better...but then again it could have turned out worse so I'm pretty happy with it.

My first week of 365 is over.  It's pretty challenging, but I'm not giving up.  You're probably thinking: "All you have to do is take a picture every day for a is that hard?"

Honestly I didn't think it would be hard either, but it is; because you want every picture to be better than the one from the day before. Plus just deciding what you are going to photograph that day can sometimes be a challange in itself.

6/365: "When Will My Reflection Show Who I Am Inside?"

I always see people take pictures of their Canon in a here is my version.
