Seeing Daughtry Was Life Changing

Everyone was into watching American Idol, I didn't start watching until season 5...simply because I don't like doing something just because everyone else is doing it. Chris Daughtry was my favorite contestant from the start. The night he got voted off I was really upset. I knew however that he was going to make something of himself and have a great career. (which he does.)

One day I was listening to the radio in the car and I heard that he was going to be doing a show at Juanita's. I got really excited, but for some reason I ended up not being able to go. Not long after that he came back to Little Rock with a full band. I bought tickets the day I found out he was coming back. No one ever said anything about there being an opening band, so when the day of the show arrived (August 6, 2007) I didn't know what to expect.

I had always thought that opening bands were lame and I never really paid attention to them...but this one was different. This was Small Town Sleeper. I only knew one song out of their whole set and that was a song they covered "The Look" by Roxette.  I went home and bought their album "Conversations" from iTunes, I haven't been able to stop listening to it since. That opening band that I didn't think I was going to like ended up changing my life.

This is getting long and I have so much more to say about Small Town Sleeper, so I will tell you more about their amazingness next time.
